Contemporary Country French

I love the chance to juxtapose contemporary and traditional and this whole-home remodel project was a delight. Fortunately I came into this before final plans and permitting and I was able to study the spaces and impart critical floor plan changes. The addition of a wall created a butler pantry adjacent to the kitchen and allowed the fridge and companion pantry to be designed like true built-in furniture.

Here the traditional elements come from the furnishings, cabinetry design, the flooring and backsplash tiles, and the timber ceiling treatment, while the tone-on-tone color palette, vinyl-clad bar stools and drum pendants bring on the contemporary. Unexpected, personal, and stunning.
